Workout Quick Change Secrets

Does the New Year Workout schedule have you pressed for time,  feeling like a sweaty hot mess?

Looking for help with the workout quick change from  “Sweaty Hair Don’t Care” to “Messy Bun Getting Stuff Done” day in the office??

Here are a few of my tips quick change workout secrets ….shhhh don’t tell anyone. 😉

Have you ever done a midday workout and then gone back to work?  What are some of your trick?  I would love to hear from you!

1. Treat your gym bag as another purse.

You wouldn’t empty out your purse or leave it at home. If you are anything like me your purse is probably stocked for a zombie apocalypse and carrying it is a workout alone.  Treat your gym bag the same way, what goes out must go back in and it’s always somewhere accessible to grab on your way out the door.

2. Keep a spare set of workout gear and runners in your car.

Not only is this great if you forgot your gym bag, for find some unexpected time to kill between appointments.  It’s also great to have in your car in the event of an emergency or that zombie apocalypse I was referring to earlier.

4. Plan your workout accordingly

Check the temperature, the humidity, and make a call. Indoors or out? Low-intensity or high-energy run outside? Often I choose an indoor workout with some abs and mat work if I have to go back to the office. This way I don’t have to worry about sweat and stink, and I’m better able to freshen up quickly to get back to work.

5. Invest in dry Shampoo and blot papers

Quick change workout secretNo A fan of dry shampoo?  Not a problem!   Here is a great recipe that I have just started using that is so much better for the environment and your scalp. I also enjoy the combination of  Lemon Lavender and Geranium.

As I said,  if I have to return to work after my workout I try to keep the latter half of my workout lighter. This way I don’t have to mop up my face, usually a good blot paper and powder application is enough. For those extra sweaty days I keep face wipes in my bag and some pressed powder.

6. If You Can’t Shower, Do the Next Best Thing.

Here’s where I tell you my secret confession. I don’t always shower between working out and going back to work. Depending on the workout, or how hot and humid it was for the run,  Otherwise = gross.

But sometimes, I’m able to be sneaky and just freshen up with some wipes, body spray, and deodorant. Nobody has been the wiser. Until now – hi coworkers!
